Trader Joe’s is my second home. How could it NOT be, with its amazing prices, quality food options and delicious snacks? Every time I go to Trader Joe’s, I find something new and exciting to try, so I thought I’d share some of the fun foods that I found there this month.
I am 100% aware that I can make zucchini spirals on my own at home, but when time is limited these are a super convenient option. Trader Joe’s also has carrot spirals! They make a great healthy/low-carb alternative to regular pasta. Not that I’m not into regular pasta, but sometimes it’s nice to lighten up typical pasta dishes and get in an extra serving of veggies.
I’m really into these crackers. The ingredient list isn’t super long – they’re made from corn, beet powder, sesame seeds, flax seeds, chia seeds and some spices. They taste pretty great with some hummus!
One word: YUM. Once again this jackfruit curry with jasmine rice is a dish you can make on your own, but if you need something healthy & convenient, go for it! If you don’t know what jackfruit is: it’s a fruit that’s used as a “meat alternate” in many vegetarian and vegan dishes because of its similar texture. So good.
Who doesn’t love some creamy, decadent gnocchi? This sweet potato gnocchi from Trader Joe’s is delish, especially during the cold winter months when you just need some warm comfort food.
These veggie burritos are one of my favorite pre-made options from Trader Joe’s. They’re the best.
Salsa is my jam – I love adding it to eggs and dipping veggies & chips in it. This harissa salsa has a nice little kick if you’re into that…otherwise Trader Joe’s has plenty of other salsa options that you can choose from!
Cauliflower pizza crust! I’ll be honest and say that the pizza fell apart when I used this crust, but it still tasted good so that’s all that matters. This is a great option for those of you who eat gluten-free, or for those who need some creative ways for getting extra veggies into their diet.
Dark chocolate covered espresso beans are a must-buy if you go to Trader Joe’s! YUM.
Another one of my favorite Trader Joe’s treats: brownie crisp coffee ice cream sandwiches. I just love that coffee + chocolate flavor!
I was so excited when I found out Trader Joe’s started to carry kombucha. This mint lime flavor is delicious…great for replenishing those healthy gut bugs after the holidays!
Mmmmmm, while I’m not a huge fan of nonfat yogurt (there’s nothing wrong with eating full-fat yogurt!), this stuff hit the spot. Icelandic-style yogurt is similar to Greek yogurt, it’s just strained a bit more and is therefore more thick AND higher in protein (score).
These coconut sesame clusters are amazing! They’re a tasty & satisfying snack, and you can also use them as a topping for salads, smoothies or yogurt.
I’m obsessed with Trader Joe’s pre-prepped veggie section and I was happy to find these fully cooked/ready to eat baby golden beet wedges! You can eat them plain, add to a salad or use as a side dish.
I looooooove snacking on almonds, but sometimes get bored of eating plain almonds. Why snack on something if it isn’t tasty or enjoyable?! That’s why I’m obsessed with these Thai lime & chili almonds!
Purple cauliflower is always a fun find! When I took this home I roasted it with some olive oil, garlic, salt & pepper. That extra color means that it’s higher in anthocyanins, which are antioxidants that help protect against a number of diseases.
I mean, I can’t really write a post about Trader Joe’s without featuring their Everything but the Bagel Seasoning Blend. This stuff is AMAZING – I add it to everything from eggs to avocado toast to roasted veggies.
I can never leave Trader Joe’s without grabbing some hummus. They have so many options. This time I decided to try the white bean & basil hummus, which is a nice flavor change-up from traditional hummus.
Ending with this, because granola, especially protein granola, is always a fun treat.
